Good eye cream is not easy to find – Klavuu White Pearlsation Completed Revitalizing Pearl Eye Cream Review

The last time I wrote about an eye cream was about a year ago. It was the Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream, which I loved so much. It was unfortunate that I had to discontinue it due to supply issues. So I’ve been on the hunt for a good eye cream for the past year. And it wasn’t easy. For me, eye creams are all about its texture. It has to be non-greasy, but nourishing enough to provide the needed moisture. It has to absorb well into the skin, not evaporate into the air, and provide long-lasting protection. It has to work well under makeup, not greasy nor drying or balling up.

Klavuu is the only eye cream that I tried over the past year that has made me want to settle. Making me say “That’s it, I’ve found it”.

Packaging

Klavuu White Pearlsation Completed Revitalizing Pearl Eye Cream comes in a silver capped plastic tub. It comes with only 20ml of product but housed in a box large enough for 100ml of product. I find it a little deceiving but maybe it will make you look better if you’re gifting this to someone.

I quite like eye creams in a tub, this means I could get every last bit out of it without wasting any drop. They’re expensive after all.

It comes with a spatula, which is handy. The reflective cap attracts fingerprints, but does add to the elegance and overall, the product feels expensive and classy. It’ll make a great gift for Christmas.

When I looked at the ingredients list, it’s actually quite similar to the Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream. At least the base. The plant extracts are obviously different but we all know those only comprise a very small amount of the entire product.

Other ingredients that I personally love are Niacinamide – for brightening, Pearl Extract, Kelp Extract (and other seaweed extracts) – for anti-oxidants and Ceramide for anti-aging.

Colour

It’s white in the tub. Once spread out it turns clear and completely absorbs into the skin.

Scent

It has a slight fragrance. I don’t know how to describe it, but it smells good and reminds me of milk.

Texture

It has a gel-cream texture, that spreads very far, which means you only need a very small amount and it would cover both your eyes. It’s slightly stringy when spreading out but quickly absorbs into the skin and leaving a dry to touch, but hydrated and nourished surface.

Application

I take about the size of a rice grain and spread it across both my eyes. Then I massage the cream in a circular motion with my ring finger until absorbed.

As mentioned above the texture of the cream allows it to be spread very far, so I don’t tuck my skin when I massage it. It feels smooth.

Results

Hydrated, brighten and protected under eye area.

The thing I enjoy most from this eye cream is its ability to keep my eye area protected and nourished for a long time. I don’t feel any dryness throughout the day. My eyes always feel moisturised. This is actually quite difficult to achieve, because I stay in an air-conditioned room all day and I usually wear makeup, which can be drying. What I normally find with eye creams is if they’re too nourishing they make my makeup melt, and if they’re not hydrating enough, I’ll feel the tightness around my eye very quickly. But the Klavuu eye cream has been giving me both the nourishment without affecting my makeup.

The brightening effect is also noticeable. My undereye area has been a lot brighter and dark circles a lot less noticeable.

Price

Klavuu White Pearlsation Completed Revitalizing Pearl Eye Cream retails for 58,000 Won (~$72 AUD) for 20ml of product. While it’s not cheap, you can’t compare it with a $30 eye cream. For a mid-range eye cream, I find the price acceptable. But for the quality, it’s completely worth it.

Verdict

Klavuu White Pearlsation Completed Revitalizing Pearl Eye Cream is a great eye cream for hydrating and nourishing the eye area. I would recommend this for anyone who has concerns of fine lines and dry under eye area.
