Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch Review

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch is a sticker type acne treatment. I find it very useful on those headless pimples that usually takes days to develop. They are usually painful and wouldn’t come out when squeezed. Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch makes the head comes out of these pimples and allow them to be pressed out gently. We’ll look at a few details of this patch in this post.

Packaging

The Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch comes in a resealable bag. The patches come on a small sheet, like labelling stickers. The packaging allows the patches to be hygienically and neatly stored and taken around.

Sizes

The sheet comes with 24 circular patches with 3 sizes, 12mm dia, 10mm dia and 7mm dia. My favourite size is the 10mm one. However, there are only 5 of 10mm dia in the pack, compared to 9 of 12mm dia and 10 of 7mm dia. Update: I start to really love the 7mm dia ones, they are actually large enough to cover my regular pimples.

Texture

The patches are of a soft silicone texture with a reasonable thickness.

Colour

The patches are a cloudy translucent off-white colour.

Application

Peel off one patch of the sheet, and stick it on top of the pimple. Upon application, it has a slight pepperminty cooling sensation. I usually use it after all my skincare routine at night and leave it overnight. The patch sticks really well, and does not fall off during the night.

Effects

The next morning, when I peel off the patch, it has turned white. You can see the impurities it has drawn out of my pimple. The head of my pimple has come out. The white stuff oozes out. And I use a microfibre facial cloth to gently wipe these off. Then press the skin around the pimple gently, the whole pimple (in a white solid form) would come out. After a day, the pimple would have healed. It then takes a week to a few weeks for the scarring to disappear.

I have tried the patch over a few occasions and have received the above results every time.

This patch is also great for isolating the pimple, so you won’t be temped to touch it or squeeze it. It does not appear prominent when using, I would certainly wear it out for grocery shopping or walk my dog.

Verdict

It is an effective treatment for headless type pimples. It speeds up the development of these pimples and make them come out over night.

The size of these patches could be restrictive. I’m not sure how it would work with people with a lot of acne all over the face. Perhaps, use it with the Cosrx One Step Pimple Clear Pads to reduce the amount of future breakouts.
