Soft as cloud – Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash Pure & Soft Review

Have you ever imagined what a cloud feels like? I reckon the Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash Pure & Soft is not far from it.

Comes in a pump bottle, this simple-looking, almost clear liquid doesn’t look too entertaining from the outside. But as soon as you pump it out of the bottle, you’ll fall in love with the soft, light, pure, cloud-like mousse.

Packaging

★★★★★

The packaging is relatively simple. Aromatica went through a complete re-vamp of their packaging a few years ago and opted for recyclable materials, which I think is a great move and one of the reasons I decided to curate Aromatica as a brand. You can read about Aromatica’s move to sustainable packaging.

Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash comes in a transparent pump bottle with a cap. The bottle is made of hard plastic and has a sturdy construction. The pump dispenses the product in a foam form and works well without leaks throughout the life of the product. The 170ml size is pretty large for this product type and lasts a good 6 months with daily use.

Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash

Colour

Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash is a light yellowish liquid. When turns into foam, it’s a solid white colour.

Texture

★★★★★

Soft, smooth, bouncy foam texture. The foam is soft, smooth and tiny, but with density, so it doesn’t deflate easily. It’s also easy to rinse off without stripping or slippery residue.

Application

★★★★★

The application of the Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash is straightforward. Similar to a face wash, you’ll need about 1-2 pumps, apply it to the intimate area, and then rinse it off with water. The slightly acidic formula makes this product very comfortable to use, non-drying and non-irritating. The foam form also makes this product a winner compared to traditional gel-type cleansers. There is no need to foam up and it rinses off much easier.

Ingredients

★★★★★

Apart from the application, the other main differentiator of Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash is in its ingredients. The product is 94% natural and contains a few naturally soothing, moisturising, antimicrobial and antibacterial ingredients at the top of the list. There are two surfactants used, both are plant-derived and mild.

How does Aromatica compare with other feminine wash products?

I feel there’s a lack of good-quality female hygiene products currently available in the Australian market. The mainstream feminine cleansers commonly available are mostly made with Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLS) and in a gel formula. SLS is a cleanser that anyone who cares about their skin should avoid. It’s alkaline, disturbs the natural pH of the skin and drying. The Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash is a completely different product and feels more like a facial wash, but for your intimate area. It’s a higher quality product, with better formula and ingredients and a better user experience.

Price

$$

Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash retails for 19,000Won (~21AUD) for 170ml of product. It’s more expensive than your supermarket cleansers but I still think it’s quite a reasonable price for the quality of the product you get. It’s about the average price of a facial cleanser.

Verdict

I would highly recommend the Aromatica Balancing Feminine Wash to all female readers of this post, especially my fellow Australian sisters. From the ratings, you can see I didn’t have anything negative to talk about this product. The texture, application and ingredients of this product make it superior to any other feminine wash products I’ve tried or seen.
